TIN CAN BAY FISHING CLUB INC. RULES FOR MONTHLY AND ANNUAL FISHING COMPETITION

There is a monthly competition run in conjunction with the annual competition.
The annual competition starts on the first day of November each year and finishes on the last day of October each year. The monthly competition is for the calendar month.
The competition is a points-based system with points per centimetre being allocated for the qualifying fish on the species points list.
- Record all your catches on the “Angler Catch Records” sheet and submit the four highest point-scoring fish of each species at the end of the fishing year for the annual trophy competition.
- There are separate annual comps for Inside Waters, Outside Waters and Fresh Water. (record catches separately)
Enter Your Catch To Win The $25.00 Monthly Voucher (Highest points scoring fish submitted wins the monthly comp)
- You must submit your catch by the first day of the new month to qualify for the preceding monthly competition.
- Fish to be photographed in a life like state on a printed measuring device clearly showing length.
- Send your fish pictures taken with the fish laid flat on a measuring mat, and please include the species you believe it to be, where and how it was caught. (Live bait, dead bait, lure, jig, trolling etc) This detail is important for accurate tabulation of scores and results.
- If unable to take photo, you need to get your catch verified and witnessed by someone else who will sign your catch record sheet.
- Crabs for annual comps to be measured on top of shell and photographed clearly showing shell width.
